Acropolis

The ancient Greeks built the Athens Acropolis atop a rocky outcrop overlooking the city probably in the Fifth Century BC. The magnificent Parthenon and Erechtheion survived numerous sieges including one by the Venetians in 1687 during the Morean War. From the Acropolis looking north, the modern city of Athens extends many miles; to the south, the views include the port city of Piraeus and the Aegean Sea.
Hundreds of thousands of people journey to see the Acropolis every year from every continent. Why do they come? In my video, I suggest the answer.
