The Democrat-led House Jan. 6 committee has postponed a hearing scheduled for Wednesday due to the arrival of Hurricane Ian.
The hearing was to be the committee's last prior to the midterms. 
"We're praying for the safety of all those in the storm's path. The select committee's investigation goes forward, and we will soon announce a date for the postponed proceedings," said committee chairman Rep Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., and vice chairwoman Liz Cheney, R-Wyoming, according to The Hill newspaper. 
They did not say whether the rescheduled hearing will take place before or after the Nov. 8 elections.
