Texas AG Sues Google Over Facial and Voice Data Collection

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton against Google on Thursday, this time alleging the search giant broke the state’s biometric data law by failing to get adequate user consent to collect and use voice and face information from millions of Texas consumers.

In the latest Google , Paxton alleges that beginning in at least 2015, Google collected and stored facial and voice recognition information on users through Google Photos, Google Assistant and its Nest smart-home products without obtaining adequate consent. He further claims Google used the information to improve its artificial intelligence algorithm
