When you are born in to a certain group because of the color of your skin, people will expect things from you. They will try to force you into a box to satisfy their narrative. If you don't fit that, the dominant culture will do everything in their power to make sure you do. We still live in a world where the dominate culture of white people has the control and they feel like they are entitled to everything. They can put an end to your career or life if they wanted to because they have the money and power but that's not how it should be.
The definition of censorship is the suppression of speech and other communication which may be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, politically inconvenient or untrue. It is often carried out by governments or private organizations such as media corporations.
Censorship is wrong; it's morally, ethically, and constitutionally wrong. In today's society however, censorship is highly used as a tool to oppress people and limit freedom of speech; those who have a voice are threatened and bullied into submission. I will be talking about examples of censorship which is modern-day Jim Crow and more specifically examples of censorship that target blacks.
