Bakhmut/Artemovsk area fronts 20.10.22

▪️In the Bakhmut area, assault detachments of PMCs are attacking in the area of ​​the asphalt plant on the southeastern outskirts of Bakhmut. The command of the Soledar OTG of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is equipping a fortified area at the champagne winery.

▪️Subdivisions of the 53rd mechanized brigade attempted a counterattack on Ivangrad from the side of Experienced and Kleshcheevka.

During intense fighting, the attack was repulsed. The 53rd brigade suffered heavy losses: only according to confirmed data, 23 people were liquidated and one was wounded.

▪️On the Ukrainian radio, information is being disseminated about the heavy losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to one report, yesterday, two completely packed trucks with the bodies of fighters killed during the fighting on October 19 left Bakhmut.

▪️The survivors were sent to Konstantinovka for reorganization. There, for several days now, the combat coordination of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, whose members were trained abroad, has been going on.

▪️According to the plans of the Ukrainian command, the forces of the 53rd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Bakhmut must hold back the advance of the Wagner PMCs until the creation of a strike force in Chasov Yar and Konstantinovka, intended for a counteroffensive in the area.
