Tintagel Village

Tintagel Village was originally called Trevena ("village on a mountain"), with the (probably) French name Tintagel reserved for the castle. However, with the rise in popularity of the old Arthurian legends in the 19th century, the once-sleepy village became a Victorian tourism hotspot.

A great little park up in Tintagel village, lots to see and some great walks. This is a great place if you happen to have a camper or a motorhome as the car park we were in was very quiet and peaceful. Very close to the town and close to toilets which are 20p. The car park at this time of making this video accepts coins only, so if you plan to stay at this car park make sure you have some change handy. The main can park however is contactless payment and has an over flow for Campervans.

Location of this carpark is: 50.664128, -4.750516 "copy and paste into Google Maps"
