BREAKING: Russian jet fired missile near RAF plane

Defence Secretary Ben Wallace says a Russian fighter jet accidentally fired a missile near a RAF aircraft which was patrolling over the Black Sea.

Russia said the incident was a "technical malfunction" and Britain did not see it as "deliberate escalation".

The incident on 29 September happened while the British plane was on a routine patrol.
