Iranian climber makes 'brave decision' to compete without her hijab

Elnaz Rekabi is an Iranian climbing champion that competed without a hijab during a competition, and now the people close to her are concerned about her welfare.
Rita Panahi says, "the hijab – though many western feminists like to pretend is some sort of symbol of diversity – is a symbol of oppression, and it's forced on Iranian women"
"This wasn't a mistake, her hijab didn't fall off, she made a very profound and brave decision to compete as she wants without being veiled," Ms Panahi told Paul Murray.
