Australian government's West Jerusalem decision is a 'slap in the face': Israeli MP Sharren Haskel

Israeli MP Sharren Haskel says the Albanese government's announcement that it will reverse Australia's recognition of West Jerusalem as Israel's capital is a "slap in the face".
"To be honest, doesn't matter what anyone tells us, Jerusalem's always been our cultural, traditional, our religious centre," Ms Haskel told Peta Credlin.
"It's part of our identity and will forever be the centre and the capital of our country and part of our hearts.
"This is extremely disappointing."
Ms Haskel said it was more disappointing that the announcement came amid a Jewish holiday, during which they celebrate Jerusalem.
