📒 Army General Sergey Surovikin, in his interview on the situation in the SMO zone, announced some interesting figures on sorties of unmanned and manned aircraft.

According to the commander, more than 8,000 sorties have been carried out by unmanned aircraft, and more than 34,000 sorties by manned aircraft (operational-tactical, army and long-range) have been carried out. Using the calculator, we calculate that in almost 8 months (237 days) of hostilities, on average, unmanned aircrafts made only about 30 sorties per day, and only about 140 manned ones.

For comparison, manned aviation of the coalition group led by the United States during Operation Desert Storm from January 17 to February 28, 1991 (in 42 days) collectively made more than 110,000 sorties, of which more than 35,000 were combat. On average, the coalition group made more than 830 combat sorties per day, which is 6 times more than the Russian Aerospace Forces on the territory of Ukraine.
