10 18 2022 Tree Pruning with a Drone

How I used a DJI Phantom 4 Pro 2.0 drone with a Fli-Fli Airdrop to prune a tree.
The drone's job is to bring the leader line up over the tree. I used an old can of WD-40 as a weight to keep the line from getting caught in the propellers and to pull the line down once released.
The leader line is tied to a nylon rope which gets pulled up by the leader line. Finally a larger rope gets attached to the Nylon rope and we pull that rope up. Once in place, the ropes are attached to the excavator and we pull until the limb breaks off. I've done close to a dozen limbs with this method. Although this time around, the rope slipped off the branch in the end. Murphy's Law of Video. :-)
