Fasting Attacked in the NIV, ESV, NLT, NASB

Fasting is attacked in modern Bible translations, such as the NIV, ESV, NLT and the NASB, whereas the King James version of the Bible, the KJV, preserves the doctrine of fasting in the New Testament.

Matthew 17:21 is completely removed from the NIV, ESV, NLT and NASB.

Mark 9:29 is changed from "And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting" in the KJV to " ... This kind can come out only by prayer" in modern Bible translations.
