EPS 98 - Spaghetti and Meatballs and Two Cents From My Wife

I'm back with another episode and a new series. COOKING WITH GREG. Hope you like this first episode in this series. Spaghetti and Meatballs with Two Cents From My Wife.

Ingredients:

- 2 lbs Lean Ground Beef
(1 for the sauce, 1 for the meatballs)
- Small can of sliced mushrooms
(or 1 Cup Sliced fresh mushroom)
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 tablespoon diced garlic
- Olive oil (in the bottom of the pot and the frying pan)
- 2 large cans of tomato sauce
- 1 large can of diced tomatoes
- 1 small can of tomato paste
- 1 cup of Panko Bread mix
- 1 egg

1. saute garlic and onion in the bottom of pot
2. brown lean ground beef and add to pot
3. add celery and mushrooms
4. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and paste
5. Spice to taste. I like pepper, Italian spices, etc.
6. simmer sauce for 4-6 hrs
7. Mix lean ground beef (raw) with panko bread crumbs - (1 cup), add 1 raw egg.
8. Use a small spoon or scoop and scoop a lump of mixed meat. Roll in your hand with a little bit of flour (see video)
9. Add olive oil to low heat pan and fry for 20-30 minutes
10. Add to sauce and simmer for 6-4 hours

Serve with spaghetti or spaghettini noodles, and sprinkle your favorite cheese on top.
