Summary:
Are those who are said to be asleep in Christ actually sleeping in a grave somewhere? Them which sleep in Jesus refer to those believers who have died, but is it true their soul is asleep in the body as it lies at rest? Let’s see!

Takeaway:
Paul desired to depart and be with Christ. He clearly intended to be in God’s presence when he left this world to sleep in death. Sleep is a euphemism for death throughout the Bible, and we see evidence of departed souls very much awake and conscious after they depart. Take comfort in knowing that whether we wake or sleep, so shall we ever be with the Lord!
