Coffeyville: After the Dalton robbery and the lives of the defenders

This video begins after the citizens of Coffeyville had a shootout with the Daltons. The smoke clears, and citizens see who is hurt or dead. Eight people lay dead, four citizens and four bandits. This video discusses the immediate aftermath, how the bodies of the bandits were treated, and I toured Elmwood cemetery where I show not only the graves of the Daltons but also the graves of two defenders who perished and two defenders who survived. Lots of artifacts from the Dalton Defenders Museum are featured, as well as photographs from their collection. In fact, unless otherwise indicated that is exactly where images came from. I visited Coffeyville three times when putting these two episodes together and I am incredibly grateful to the wonderful people of Coffeyville who were so welcoming and provided me with information. In particular I want to thank the Dalton Defenders Museum, the Coffeyville Chamber of Commerce and Islam’s Hardware store. I am forever grateful for sharing your hospitality and knowledge with me.
