In this video you will learn interesting information about Piet Mondrian (1872 – 1944). He was a Dutch artist known for his abstract work. After World War 1 Mondrian began exploring a pure type of abstract art, focusing on the relationship between shape and colour. He created a number of compositions reflecting his grid-based work.
Later, Mondrian began to use less colour, sticking with just black and white. He even experimented with double lines, line width and coloured lines.
