How to: Simple Brine for Pork Chops

This simple brine recipe consists of 4 cups of water, 4 tablespoons of salt, and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. I added some lemon peel and the juice of half a lemon.

Place in a sauce pot and bring to simmer, just enough to dissolve the salt and sugar. Let cool to room temp, then place over chops in a bowl or ziplock bag.
