In 2020, the Government of Quebec signed a contract with McKinsey & Company, a global advisory firm, for $6.6 million to develop a COVID-19 reopening and economic recovery plan.
Additionally, it was reported that the Government of Ontario also hired McKinsey to do the same.
The decision sparked outrage among Canadian scientists and experts, who are perfectly equipped to take on the task.
So, why was this firm hired? Federal and provincial governments should be investing in Canadian experts, not a third-party entity.
Additionally, news has come to light about McKinsey’s dealings with pharmaceutical companies like Pfizer, which sounds like a conflict of interest to me.
So, Rebel News is launching a petition and an email campaign to investigate this peculiar decision — and you can help.
It is insane that a global firm has the authority to make decisions that affect Canadians.
The government's decision to hire them must be investigated.
