The Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov said in his Telegram channel that the fire at the electrical substation in Belgorod occurred after the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to him, the estimated time to switch to a backup source will take up to four hours.

“The fire has been extinguished. We have started reconnecting,” said the head of the Belgorod region.

Earlier it was reported that seven explosions sounded in the sky over Belgorod. The air defense system worked.

On October 13, fragments of a rocket fired by the Armed Forces of Ukraine damaged a 16-storey building. On the same day, Ukrainian troops attacked a military depot in the village of Oktyabrsky.
