Let's dive deeper into this touching, inspiring, yet dark and melancholic game. We continue when Joel's parents hear some very bad news. The disease resists and there doesn't seem to be hope that he'll be cured. Death is inevitable for everyone, but that doesn't make it any less difficult to deal with. We also experience how people can react to this kind of news in different ways. If your hope lies in some one greater than we can imagine, then there is no reason to worry. Things may not pan out for you, but you are making a choice to take everything in strides with hope that it will turn out okay. Either way, they will see their son again some day. Despair is a difficult mood to deal with, remember that it is okay to ask for help. Letting despair sink in causes everyone else around to suffer.
