In today's video, I'll be tackling one of the most crucial portions of the restoration: rebuilding the front suspension and steering linkage. As these trucks age, the suspension and ball joints become a weak point that must be addressed to maintain proper control and safety. My Jimmy had been looked after pretty decent over the years, but it still needed a ton of work. Along with replacing the ball joints, I'll be replacing all of the control arm bushings, installing new pitman and idler arms, new tie rods, a new steering gearbox and more! The suspension will be clean enough to eat off of! In this midst of all of this, I'll also begin the engine bay restoration. Thanks for watching and I hope you all enjoy!
