The Mayor is crafting his weekend segues again and today's opus ties Al Green and the Statler Brothers together for the Segue City Special. He's like that - he likes to mix genres and decades together the way he cooks in the kitchen throwing things together with the sole thought being to craft something tasty never before tried... sometimes that is a great success... other times it ends up being an excuse for going out to dinner instead...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
