Putting myself on the spot by creating The Savage Arms Challenge

After purchasing my little Savage Rascal Target XP Heavy Barrel .22 rifle almost a month ago, and then making adjustments, and three You Tube videos, I decided to video myself testing it out. In the owner's manual there is a standard target practice target for new gun owners. I think the original idea was to have a tear out target for youth shooting the Youth Savage Rascal, a lighter version of the rifle I have. So, using this target sheet, I really only had two chances of shooting 10 rounds a set, to hit a quarter sized area at 25 yards. If I could get the rounds to touch the bullseye and/or 1st ring, that would be hitting the size of a dime. Of course, if I missed, not much way I could change that, as I had just videoed myself shooting....self induced pressure to make a little drama.

I am not an expert shooter. Best I ever did in the Army with the M-16 or M-4 was Sharpshooter, which is like a "B" grade shooter. This little Rascal, however, with a nice bi-pod attached, is a very stable little rifle. With the heavy barrel, it would be pretty accurate, I figured. So check out how I did!

This is last of four videos I did on the Savage Rascal Target XP Heavy Barrel. The first was on the fun of the purchase and first trial, the second was a closer examination, with a partial dis-assembly to make an adjustment on the trigger pull, and the third was on putting the bi-pod on and making initial adjustments on the windage and elevation on the factory installed AIM 4 x 32 mm scope.
