“Have you ever been awakened in the morning by the alarm clock in the middle of a wonderful dream? What happens? You try to go back to sleep. Maybe you can and maybe you can’t get back to sleep, but what doesn’t happen? The dream doesn’t return. Life is that dream.

If you knew you were going to die one year from today, what would you do with the next year of your life? Do those things. Go home tonight and make a list. Then set about making those things happen. Revisit that list every day, check on your progress, and renew your resolution. Because life is short and you are dead an awful long time.

Take that trip. Ride horses on the beach. Restore an old Ford. Watch more sunsets. Write a love letter. Say yes instead of maybe. Fly a kite. Say sorry. Ask that girl out on a date. Try new things. Turn off the television and talk to your spouse. Look for that job you’ve always wanted. Keep a promise. Tell your mum you love her.

Life is for living. So, if you’ve got a dream you’ve been ignoring, it’s time to dig it, dust it off, and get after it. Live life passionately. Don’t waste a moment, because those moments are life. Laugh often, love always, and live soulfully… run, sing, dance, shout, sleep under the stars, and wake early to greet each new day.”
