Does earning £80,000 or more put you in top 5% of UK earners?

One suspects the result is less people will want to work or set up a business, and the rich would leave the UK. The result would be less tax.

Tax, is in reality a form of theft. It presumes you believe you can spend money someone else earns better than they can, yet often governments just pee money up the wall.

An example was Labours abandoned NHS IT system has cost over £10bn.

Perhaps people would be more willing to pay tax if they could see the tax being spent better.

Perhaps than looking at tax all the time, we should tax less and so encourage companies to set up in the UK and invest, creating jobs, in turn creating more tax.

It is also interesting to see all the hate from presumably left wing people who are angry at the fact the chap earns £80k or more.

If £80k does put you in the top 5%, then presumably the trade union leaders who are on £200k or more are clearly in the 5% group. Why does the left not complain about union leaders earning so much?
