(UPDATED) Woman attacks herself with Hammer and claims she was raped

Crown prosecution claim Eleanor Williams, from Barrow-in-Furness, attacked herself with a hammer to create injuries along with her fabricated story of gang rape, Prosecution alleges Williams created false text messages and Snapchat conversations to give credit to her claims she had been gang raped and trafficked by Asian men.
Ms Williams faces seven counts of perverting to course of justice. It is claimed she made false allegations between 2017 and 2020 to work colleagues, Medical professionals, Health workers and the Police.
She is accused of faking evidence such as text messages on mobile devices and also social media in which her alleged abusers and traffickers appeared to discuss and admitted their supposed crimes, Ms Williams altered the names on her mobile to make it look like she was being contacted by Asian men.

The case continues today with the prosecution's opening statements.
