* ' To allow for this message to achieve a maximum range of reception with the widest possible audience; this is a 'general' attempt at CREATING A DISCUSSION about Our own (individual) understanding of the relationships between what constitutes one’s ‘mental health’, ones personalized ‘potential for creativity’ & one’s grasp of what is ‘Fundamentally True’.

' To even begin to introduce these two vastly different yet relatable facets, We felt a compulsion to prop them up against one another. Admittedly, We didn’t know if We were investigating whether one could justify the other or attempting to grasp at the air believing that’ll help Us to breathe. All probability indicates that this will fail to transcend beyond, ‘intriguingly disappointing’ or ‘increasingly vague’. As a writer, I prefer to embark on a keyboard journey with nothing more than an oath to the truth & a moderately tangible set of pre-established guidelines & goals. The Daamn creative process for Kam has largely consisted of deeply detaching, (‘letting go’), of what We thought We knew – so We can begin playing with what We think We know.
Whether this takes hold in the form of MUSIC -a melodical, chronological story, a crude dictation of observation, monotonous instrumental grinding OR as MUZIK -a delightfully unscheduled symphony, -a comically short list of, 'favorite artist', to 'listen to', -an unorganized articulation of the all-encompassing human experience (For Us, all the above!) There's one 'track' We collaborated on that will always be my favorite; 'Birth: The Muzik(al)'.
Like any typical individual, Our philosophy, (way of approaching life) has predominantly been shaped by watching other ways of being & avoiding those which bring misery, (falseness, negative, dark), ultimately striving to replicate what We determine to be ‘good’, (true, desirable, decent, positive, light). We've spent a lot of time critically contemplating Ourself, a quite indifferent endeavor when 'predominantly thinking of Oneself', under a selfish guise. Though, how incredible that when practiced in the form of reflection for reflections sake; the sole purpose of pontification, it can essentially become a gateway into (SLN) SelfLessNess. We've spent much of Our days distinguishing what is true from what is false, what is Real from what is fake, what works & what’s broken... essentially investigating for information sake.
Embodying the closest resemblance to, ‘researcher’, as (this) one could manage at that particular time - before journeying into the confines of what constitutes 'Our own place in the world'. To detach from the self-identity We’ve created since Our birth, figuring if indeed We created ‘Who We are’… it’s as much of a man-made construct as anything else outside of nature.
That last line's very important! How much of a difference lies between our biology and Our personality. (Consequentially, a co-occurring effect is that it becomes easier to distinguish between those people who are actively working towards the ‘truth’, the ‘good’, and those who may still be struggling to determine the difference. We had to let go of the self-imposed confines of Our character for Our concept of ‘Self’ to fail in comparison to other man-made realities.
We find it all to unfortunate that so many people fail to question their own beliefs, (especially about themselves!). We often incorporate different facets of our personalities at different times, some psychologists have taken to calling these ‘masks’. It’s estimated that the average individual in Western society ‘wears’ up to nine different ‘masks’ on a regular basis. These so called ‘masks’ are appropriately named as a mask is often part of a costume. If We were to put on a façade when around certain groups of people, the group will develop a false idea of who you are. This is very convenient when one is worried about rejection & ridicule, fore if the group was to offend your character… it wouldn’t really be Your character that’s in question. When We wear a false face We intentionally chose to lie about who We are. robbing those people of their right to the truth.
(We’d prefer being wrong to being misunderstood; more opportunity for learning!)
Fortunately, We became a dad in August of 2020 - so it was actually Our best year despite the draconian measures implemented throughout that time.(Actually providing more safety for Our son!) We miss & pray for him every day; he lives with his mother; She's lied in court to keep him from Us &fam.
