Don't Become Woke to Fight the Woke

I've noticed a trend lately: people who call themselves "UNWOKE" who behave exactly like the woke, not just towards actual leftists, but towards anyone at all who challenges their behavior. They mock dissenters as "triggered," and try to silence critics by tapping into their desire to be different from the people who cry-bully that they're being "micro-aggressed" against.

I'm calling it out. I won't participate, or amplify that message, or support any recommendation to do the same. This doesn't make me soft, or "triggered," or lacking in resilience. Quite the opposite. I refuse to behave like a bully to fight bullies. I will speak the truth, as civil and objectively as I can, even when I'm not being treated the same way in reverse. Come what may, I will not simply "ignore" people who claim to represent values and ideas I hold dear, while behaving in ways that make clear the opposite is true.
