Audio of meeting between Congressman Kevin McCarthy and Capitol Police Officer Michael Fanone released

“I hit the record button on my iPhone and stuffed it in my pocket,” said former DC police officer Michael Fanone. He took that phone into a meeting with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy after the January 6th insurrection. Fanone was one of the officers attacked in the riot. He was severely beaten, causing him to have a heart attack and traumatic brain injury.
