Where do peanuts come from?

Growing and harvesting peanuts in Northern Thailand. Nan provence in the north of Thailand is ideal climate to grow peanuts.They are planted around 24inches apart and watered and soil kept moist. Germination takes around 7-10 days and after 25-40 days yellow flowers form. Upon flower pollination, plants send pegs down into the soil which become the peanuts. They are harvested and can be eaten fresh or steamed as is popular in Thailand or roasted to become crunchy peanuts.
