The Darkness (2007) was developed by Starbreeze and published by 2K Games

The Mafia, Mike Patton (Faith No More!), WW1, FPS, and demonic powers combine to present us with The Darkness. Part horror, part FPS, part roleplay, part open world brings us a really awesome game that could have landed a better rating had certain features been fleshed out more.

The voice acting is very good, and Mike Patton as the Darkness steals the show! Gameplay is very fun and engaging as well, switching up great story mission with side activities that make for an extremely immersing experience. Dark tones and horror elements are set by visceral subject matter and themes and the hellish alternate reality of World War 1.

The Darkness is available on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

I will give my rating for the game once it is completed based off of my new and simple rating system. The game will get one of five ratings based solely on my experience while playing through it: Horrible (rare rating), Bad, Average, Good, and Great (rare rating).
