Opening Statements begin in WI v. Darrell E. Brooks Jr. as he stands trial for the Waukesha, Wisconsin Christmas Parade attack that left six people dead and dozens injured in 2021.

Brooks is facing 77 criminal charges: six counts of first-degree intentional homicide with the use of a dangerous weapon, 61 counts of recklessly endangering safety with the use of a dangerous weapon, six counts of hit-and-run involving death, and two counts of bail jumping, all felonies; and two counts of misdemeanor domestic abuse-battery.
