Over 580,000 migrants have been released into the U.S. this year

More than 580 thousand migrants have been processed by Border Patrol at the US southern border and released by immigration authorities into the country this fiscal year, with pending immigration proceedings. Many are hoping to seek asylum or other forms of relief. The newest migration wave is made up of Venezuelans, Nicaraguans, and Cubans fleeing, “failing Communist regimes,” in their home countries, says U.S. Customs and Border Protection
