Spiritual openness can be defined as seeing the boundaries of the mind, heart, sensations, and attention. It is the seeing of those boundaries up against the openness of the consciousness itself. This openness is always here but is not always experienced due to limitations and distortions of the mind and emotions. The key is to dissolve those limitations so that there is eventually a real and natural experience of the open and alive space of consciousness. Space is not the same as openness, as it is a definable and quantitative field with boundaries. It is only the boundless and open space of Now that allows one to experience the true nature of reality.
