Do you know what animals can be found in Australia? They're quite distinct from the rest of the world's animals. Most of the times, they are marsupials. MARSUPIALS include kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, wombats, quokkas, and Tasmanian Devils. This is a unique type of mammal that is born tiny and undeveloped. They crawl into their mother's pouch and complete their growth there!

Then there are monotremes, which are even stranger mammals. The duck-billed platypus and the echidna are the two types of monotremes that live in Australia (also known as the spiny anteater).
And also, Australia is home to two big flightless birds: the emu and the cassowary. They're enormous!
