Pencil Box Radio Kit

Super light weight but capable emergency/SOTA/POTA radio system which fits inside a pencil box. The whole box weighs 1lb 9oz. I forgot to mention in the video that I also frequently use a fiberglass mast instead of a tree branch. The pole is rigid enough to be free standing when slid over a piece of 3/8x18" rebar (half shrink wrapped for damage mitigation) which I also carry. Since I didn't have a lot of time to make this video, it was shot in a single take with no script. So, on occasion when I use an odd word, or miss a point, please allow that I was rushed.
