In a recent VARIETY Magazine VIP article, it seems as Disney's Strange World was completely forgotten from the prominent end of year box office projections. In the same conversation, others like Halloween Ends, Black Adam, Black Panther 2 Wakanda Forever, and Avatar 2 The Way of Water were given projections.

It begs the question whether or not the Disney Animation Studios $200M production of Strange World is even still slated for a theatrical release or if it could still indeed be yanked from cinemas like so many Disney animated films in the past 18 months. Will Strange World get a "normal" box office run, or will Disney give it a very quick 30 day exclusivity as they did with Encanto last year? The latest trailer from 2 weeks ago hasn't gotten much attention on youtube. As of this writing, that trailer on the official Disney youtube channel only has about 4.7M views after nearly two weeks.

If Strange World IS still set for theatrical release, why did it not make this top list for the box office fourth quarter? Does Variety Magazine and Hollywood believe already this film will be another total flop or did they flat out forget this film even exists?! Either way it's a very very bad look for Disney.
