練習瑜伽的要點以及順序
清晨,早飯之前是瑜伽鍛煉的最佳時間。傍晚或是其他時間也可練習,但要保證空腹或完全消化以後進行練習。大體上是飯後三到四小時,喝入流質食物或飲料可在半個小時後練習。事實上更為具體的練習時間規定,早晨在太陽出來以前要進行練習,中午在太陽到頭頂時進行練習,晚上在日落以後練習,凌晨在入夜12點時練習。不同時間要練習不同的內容,例如早晨多練習體位法,中午多練習龐達,晚上多練習冥想等等。練習者應該選擇對自己最為方便的時間,爭取每天都在同一時間內練習,練習瑜伽時,身體保持正常和安靜狀態,如果此時身體有不適的地方或是病狀盡量不要練習過於強烈的方法,也可以完全不進行練習。盡可能的多練習瑜伽,當然絕不可以超出身體的能力。練習瑜伽時要選擇安靜,清潔,空氣新鮮的地方,盡量離開房間而選擇露天的自然地;在房間中註意保持空氣的流通這對於調息練習尤為重要,養成經常開窗透風的習慣,練習瑜伽時可以在旁邊擺放綠色植物。地上需要鋪上鬆軟的毯子,柔軟度控制在輕鬆的能保持站立,千萬不能讓腳下打滑;在練習關於坐式的瑜伽時可以使用蒲席,這樣可以有效的防止疲勞。瑜伽練習時必須保持安靜。避免交談和心理活動,可以播放輕鬆簡單的樂曲,總之要使身心能夠專心集中。瑜伽休息非普通的休息,每一種的休息其實都是一種冥想這作用不可小看,他能夠放鬆身體,感受獲得的能量,也可以鍛煉身心意志感受我的存在。休息有兩種,第一是短時間的休息,這主要是體位法中常採取的10-30秒的休息,一般佔用練習的五分之一左右;另一種是專門的休息有時達數小時之久,例如瑜伽者常練習的屍體放鬆術等等。這種方法除了達到放鬆的目的,還是有意識的控制體內能量和精神。
練功服裝:
瑜伽練習時穿著盡可能的簡單,短褲、寬筒褲或是中國傳統的練功褲;女子可以穿短褲或彈力褲。上身要寬鬆。清晨練習者在練功前不必洗澡,具體何時洗澡可根據練習者的方便自行決定。如果想在練功後用熱水淋浴,應在15分鐘後進行。洗澡可以增加人體潔淨和輕鬆的感覺,這樣在進行某些練習時效果更好,因此許多人選擇在練習前洗澡。
練習方法:

婦女注意事項:
婦女在經期和懷孕四個月後,不宜做瑜伽練習,在這種情況下,許多瑜伽方法應該停止,有選擇的從事鍛煉。瑜伽練習對治療各種婦科疾病極有效,對於增進婦女健康也有補益。例如,月經失調可通過瑜伽練習治愈,孕婦適當的練習瑜伽可增進胎兒的體質,甚至可以有助於無痛分娩。
