Because of the project, the UV disinfecting system may be intermittently affected prompting WATER ADVISORIES

Greater Vernon Water has issued three notices

Locations usually supplied by Duteau Creek, (BLUE AREAS of MAP) are immediately on a Precautionary Water Quality Advisory effective September 16, 2022, to January 31, 2023.

Because water is being diverted from Kalamalka to areas typically served by Duteau
GVW is issuing a Water Quality Advisory for all properties shown in GREEN as well.

Advisories are in effect for areas marked GREEN and BLUE on the map

Area residents may wish to boil their water for at least one minute when using it for purposes such as....

Drinking
Brushing teeth
Washing fruits & vegetables to be eaten raw
Preparing any food
Mixing baby formula
Making beverages or ice

The water clarification process and disinfection with chlorine will continue.

Stage 2 water restrictions are now in place for all Greater Vernon Water customers until further notice. That means No sprinkling or watering of lawns, gardens or shrubs unless by hand in the morning and evening or other activities like washing your car or driveway.
