"I'll Be There For You," written by David Crane, Marta Kauffman, Michael Skloff, Phil Solem, Dany Wilde and Allee Willes, was the Rembrandts' second top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart landing at the no. 17 position and hit the no. 1 position on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart and on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart in 1995 as well as no. 1 in Canada and no. 3 in the UK; it was also the theme song for the hit TV comedy series "Friend" (officialcharts, 2022; rhino, 2022; Whitburn, 2013). According to Allee Willis (one of the song writers), "It was never, ever to this day released as a single. It was just DJs who made a cassette of the song and just started playing it. And it became the #1 airplay record of the year" (songfacts.com, 2020).
