This ancient Temple sits on the bank where the Amphawa Canal connects with the Phi Lok Canal. The temple was built in the Ayutthaya period during the late reign of King Prasatthong. It was constructed sometime between 1629–1656 in the Ayutthaya period of Thailand.

This ancient Temple sits on the Canal-side where the Amphawa Canal converges with the Phi Lok Canal. The temple was built in the Ayutthaya period during the late reign of King Prasatthong. It is likely that ThaoKaeophaluek (Noi), owner of the Bang Chang Market and an ancestor of the royal lineage of Bang Chang, commissioned the temple.

The back of the temple once contained the residence of KhunNak (or Queen Ammarinthramat of King Rama I) and KhunBunrot (Queen Si Suriyenthramat of King Rama II).

It is open daily from 8.30 am-4.30 pm.

The temple is very popular with the Thai people. When they come they buy a red flower to donate to one of the gods at the temple. It is believed that this is his favorite flower and by donating it to him it will bring good fortune.
