"I was raised in a Puerto Rican community" Biden tells audience
President Joe Biden suggested he was raised in a Puerto Rican community, adding the qualifier “politically” to the end of his statement - leading many viewers scratching their heads.
Biden was delivering an address to a hurricane impacted community in Puerto Rico on Monday. In trying to connect with the people on the ground, Biden made this statement:
“I uh, was sort of raised in the Puerto Rican community at home, politically. So we came here for a long time, both for business and pleasure…”
