Canada: Federal govt. launches call for proposals for Black charities fund – October 3, 2022

On Parliament Hill, Ahmed Hussen (minister of housing and diversity and inclusion) launches the call for proposals for an organization to manage the Black-led Philanthropic Endowment Fund. The federal government will invest up to $200 million in the fund, which was created to support charities and social purpose organizations that serve Black communities. Also taking part in the news conference are Paul Chiang (parliamentary secretary to Minister Hussen and MP for Markham–Unionville) and Arielle Kayabaga (MP for London West).
