Forgotten Man by J.T. Wilde
Written by J.T., John Thomas and Joseph Thomas
When I was a young boy
My father said to me
Son you better realize
Freedom is never free

Simple Men fought the wars
While the politicians lied
Nothings changed in a 1000 years
Cept the names of that men died
The Forgotten man

fought and died in every war
At times they didn't know what they were fighting for
They just wanted a better life
For the ones they love and left behind

Rulers look like Giants
And keep us begging on our knees
programmed & Mesmerized
And we're all to eager to please
When your always living in a dream
Its get comfortable in there?
It's Lookin like the end is coming
And who's gonna lend a hand
the Forgotten man

fought and died in every war
At times they didn't know what they were fighting for
They just wanted a better life
For the ones they love and left behind
He gave thanks to the lord above
gave his life for ones he loved
Taught his kin to do the same
And all he asked for was his name...

We have been forgotten
We have been left behind
you made us pay for your sins
Looks like you're doin it again
But you ain't gonna win this time

We work everyday
Just keep our dreams alive
Hope losses strength
When fear runs your life
A 100 years from now
You'll hear him in a melody
Hidden away in the songs
About you and me

fought and died in every war
At times they didn't know what they were fighting for
They just wanted a better life
For the ones they love and left behind
He gave thanks to the lord above
gave his life for ones he loved
Taught his kin to do the same
And all he asked for was his name...
