Extraordinary Wildlife Encounter As Dolphins Jump Directly Over Jet

This incredible wildlife encounter saw Zoe Teikamata cruising on her jet ski as a pod of dolphins swam beside her, with one leaping over her in spectacular fashion.

The clip captured on 28th August, outside Rangitoto Island in Auckland, New Zealand, shows Zoe on a jet ski in open water.

Playful dolphins surrounded her and began jumping out of the ocean extremely close to the vehicle much to the surprise of the rider.

All of a sudden, one of the critters leapt out of the water directly over Zoe as she exclaimed her amazement, in a wild encounter never captured on camera.

Zoe said: "I was shaking when I saw the dolphins at first because it was my first encounter with them.

"I’ve always been in love with marine life so this was an insane experience for me.

"I was amazed at how friendly they were, I kept my fair distance at first until they came up to me plenty of times.

"My encounter was super close and nearly was hit in the head by one dolphin that jumped right over my head."
