Whale

The people of Lamalera Village, located in the southern part of Lembata Island, Flores, NTT, are known for their tradition of whale hunting. During the hunting season, the people of Lamalera use the word "Baleo" as a sign of the appearance of whales on the sea surface. If you have the opportunity, you can come directly to witness this whaling.
