See the Light
© C. Soon 1997, 2021

There was a light, shining in the darkness
Guiding thru the darkness, wise men from the east
Bringing gold, frankincense and myrrh to lay down
at the feet of a little boy

There was a man, living in the wilderness
Come to be a witness, that all may believe
That the light of everlasting life may be found
In Shekinah slain that death might be destroyed

The true Light, born to end the darkness
Offering forgiveness to all who would believe
One small night, broke into our sorrows
Off'ring a tomorrow our minds cannot conceive
What a wondrous day awaits if only we
See the Light, See the Light

Now the light, shines on through his children,
Sent to ev’ry nation, to love as he had taught
Not in words, but in ev'ry thing we do
that we may display the light of truth

He's the light of the new Jerusalem
We will be his people, and he will be our God
No more tears will ever dim the eye, nor goodbyes
And the light of love we share will never die

The true Light, born to end the darkness
Offering forgiveness to all who would believe
One small night, broke into our sorrows
Off'ring a tomorrow our minds cannot conceive
What a wondrous day awaits if only we
See the Light

See the Light, he is already dawning
Though the darkness rage against the morning
Though it fight against the sun, soon the night will be undone

The true Light, born to end the darkness
Offering forgiveness to all who would believe
One small night, broke into our sorrows
Off'ring a tomorrow our minds cannot conceive
What a wondrous day awaits if only we
See the Light, see the Light
See the Light, see the Light
