Today's Question: What is the Measure of a Man?

I’ve been looking at a things lately like being a godfather and talking to kids about fathers vs dads. Many parents disagree that the father is superior until I say “then why do we call it fathers day?” Then they get to thinking. In my opinion and belief a father is a better man than a dad. anyone can sire a child, but if you’re raising that child, teaching him/her right from wrong, dusting them off when they fall, fighting for them when they are in need of protection and many other things besides that’s not a dad, that’s a father. Otherwise, why do we call him God the Father? So I guess I'm asking “what does the bible say is the measure of a man? And, how do we know if we are "measuring up?"
