Have you found yourself lately getting beat up by this world? Things are getting much harder. Even of late trying to pray and read your Bible is too hard because you are exhausted.

Yet you want the Lord so deeply. You feel that you are not measuring up to the standards and measurements of prayer and reading the word perhaps like others.

It all seems to be slipping away out of your life like watching the land getting smaller and smaller as you drift away. You remember the days you once enjoyed the time you could spend.
The attempts you have made to return have been futile because you think that if you read and study more, there will be results. Unfortunately it only creates a greater tiredness.

Jesus never expects anyone to have a rod upon their back to do more. God does not come with a rod, He comes with love. He comes to a surrendered life. He makes you rest from your own labors.
You are not a slave, you are a child of the Father's House. He gives strength to the weary. He soothes the lives of people and gives them hope. The Holy Spirit is His life IN you.
He wants you to stop trying so hard to read and pray and live up to something He never expected.

And when you do sit down to read and pray, do so in confidence, peace and joy. Trust in what He can do and will do. Let Him take care of you. Let go. What He has began in you He will finish and guarantee the final victory.
Then when your life is prepared for it, He will take you to The City of Heaven..."where the streets thereof are paved with gold."

"So wait before the Lord; Wait in the stillness. And in that stillness, assurance will come to you. You will know that you are heard; you will know that your Lord ponders the voice of your humble desires; you will hear quiet words spoken to you yourself, perhaps to your grateful surprise and refreshment. -Amy Carmichael
