Tarquin was all soft blondness and deep brown eyes that penetrated the very essence of me. He was my first love affair and I adored him with all my being. His ever-listening ear was always willing to share the highs and lows of my life, to delight in my joys, soak up adolescent angst. Until I grew older; found my forever love. Put aside, but never erased from my life, Tarquin just lingered on the fringe. Soft blondness now a dull patchy brown, eyes faded, he inhabits a rocking chair; . My grandchildren treasure him. Tarquin is my old Teddy Bear.
